Celebrate the Lord

Celebrate the Lord!

Greetings Friends and Family,

Let me first say thank you for all of your prayers this weekend. The Celebration Sunday went very well in the park. Despite how hot it was, the service was still well attended. I haven’t received the final numbers but there well over 1,000 plus people in attendance. The worship and the message were dynamic. People came to Christ for the first time. And Vienna Christian Center celebrated 30 years of God’s faithfulness to them as one body.

I love how Pastor Melinda Henderson said it Sunday, “It’s like a taste of heaven today,” having all the fellowships together in one spot praising the Lord. You just cannot imagine what it was like to be in the center of that worship time and hearing the song “What a Beautiful Name” being sung by English, German, French, Filipino, Chinese, Iranian, Fiji and so many other nationalities at one time. God was so honored.

When I think of the man hours it took from Friday up until Sunday to make it happen, I know it was all worth it. Which brings me to me second thought of gratitude. I want to thank you all for being faithful in giving of your finances and time to my ministry. You have helped plant the seed for something bigger than me. The relationships built here must continue on and grow deeper. The impact this country has had on me is more than words can describe. All of you are a big part of this ministry and I hope will continue to be a part of seeing the gospel go forth.

And third but not final the people of VCC (Vienna Christian Center) would like to thank you for sending me. They would also like you to know that I’m not allowed to return to the states at this but that is yet to be seen. In all honesty I didn’t do anything to deserve such love and yet they have accepted me as one of their own and refuse to give me back. They are not perfect but they are sure trying to reach the mark of the high calling which is in Christ Jesus.

Please continue to keep my health in your prayers. I had a fall as I rolled on my ankle earlier last week heading for the subway and it has slowed me down a bit. Pray for fast healing because I walk a lot in Vienna. Pray also as I attempt to meet with other ministries related to the church such as the Meeting Place, that assist refugees with language skills. I will also be involved with the worship team here, something I haven’t done in over a year. And pray for the men as we will have a day of Empowerment with the Lead Pastor up in the mountains. I’m praying for a large presence form the men and that he might move on their hearts to stand and become bolder leaders for Christ.

Once again, thank you all for your support and may God be praised.

In His service,

Nathan Graves
